Endodontics

Endodontic treatment (root canal) is often a scary thought.  We strive to provide comfortable treatment for all dental procedures - even root canals!

A root canal treatment is necessary when the soft tissue inside a tooth becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. An injury to a tooth may cause tissue damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.

The solution is to remove the inflamed or infected tissue, carefully clean and shape the inside of the canal, then fill and seal the space.
